Instinctiv™ is DEK’s 21st century user interface that maximizes machine utilization, process control and operator efficiency. It also serves as the delivery mechanism for DEK Interactiv, our suite of revolutionary new e-printer process support services Task-based ergonomics, developed with Human Factors specialists at Georgia Tech, deliver VR-gaming levels of clarity and fast-response. Instinctiv™ also enhances operator information, with TimeToGo “fuel gauge” style indications of remaining paste, paper and solvent levels showing time before replenishment, as well as on-board error recovery, set-up help, and real time process monitoring/display.

Instinctiv™ delivers even greater power when enabled as the platform for DEK Interactiv contract support services.

By linking the machine to the global DEK support network via broadband*, with built-in Internet and networking protocols including WiFi and GSM SMS, Instinctiv™ heralds the age of the e-printer.

With an Interactiv™ contract, touchscreen controls put the machine operator in direct contact with trained DEK support staff at any time of day or night. DEK helpdesks in three strategic world time zones are networked to handover case information and provide seamless customer support, 24-hours per day and 7-days per week. Through collaboration DEK engineers can also take control of the machine remotely if required to troubleshoot, fine-tune, perform set-ups and adjust the machine configuration.

Protection comes from up-to-the-minute security including Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology, Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) and firewall services.

The operator can also independently download multimedia files available from the online DEK knowledge base, providing instant access to a rich learning resource on-demand.
