Reel-to-Reel - Advanced Handling for Continuous Flexible Substrates

Reel-to-Reel: Advanced Handling for Continuous Flexible Substrates

In today’s fast paced manufacturing environment, continuous flexible substrates play an important role in meeting the complex challenges of sub miniature assemblies. Since fast, efficient and automatic production is a vital part of realising this process cost-effectively; our Reel-to-Reel (R2R) solution represents an important breakthrough.

Reel-to-Reel is a handling solution that enables precision printing onto continuous substrates such as flexible circuits and advanced synthetic materials. Deployed on a dedicated R2R printer, Reel-to-Reel takes advantage of proven precision alignment, clamping and tooling technologies to handle the demands of large, flexible substrates. In fact, with inbuilt accurate positional indexing and tension management mechanisms, Reel-to-Reel can print onto substrates typically 150 metres in length and 500mm wide.

Offering a dramatic throughput improvement for manufacturers working with continuous assemblies, Reel-to-Reel is the ideal solution for a wide range of end products from mobile phones and laptops, through to rope lights, automotive instruments and RFID tag technologies.
