RTC is a high speed board transport option equipped to deliver a significant and deterministic reduction in screen printing cycle time. Designed to overcome the physical limitations governing the time taken to transport boards into and out of the machine, RTC is able to reduce core cycle time to a mere 4 seconds – regardless of other process variables.
Using stepper motor technology and high speed servo motor transport, RTC greatly increases the speed at which boards are moved into place ready for imaging before being passed on to further downstream processes. In addition, the technology also replaces traditional belt-type board transport mediums with a positive retention mechanism, acting fore and aft of the board. The active board snugging mechanism means that board transport into the print station is not reliant on friction.The mechanism adjusts automatically to grip boards of dimension 50mm to 375mm. up to the maximum size permitted by the machine. The result is a unique handling solution, delivering unparalleled printed board/hour delivery.

RTC has been developed utilising the benefits of DEK’s ISCAN™ Intelligent Scalable Control Area Network infrastructure, supporting the complex motor control signalling required by stepper motor technology. Enabling rapid integration with new machines, RTC with ISCAN will further enhance manufacturers’ throughput advantage.
RTC is currently available as an option with any new Europa or Galaxy printer.
